As always, I like to begin with the packaging of a product. These earrings arrive in a pretty and giftable golden box. Inside of the box is a brown velveteen pouch that is perfect for storing the earrings. Also included is a postcard with photos of other pieces from Sitara Collections on the front and on the back, a brief synopsis of the company’s philanthropic endeavors as well as direct contact information for founder, Linda Singh.

The Smoky Quartz Gold Plate Sterling Silver Earrings are well made with an approximate one-inch drop. The smoky quartz stones have no flaws and feature an asscher facet cut.  While these earrings are a French hook style, the company includes four stoppers. If I was going clubbing or something of that nature, perhaps I would use the stoppers but they aren’t really necessary -- it’s just a nice touch. The Smoky Quartz Gold Plate Sterling Silver Earrings are a very versatile style with a brushed textured finish. These earrings could easily be worn from the office to a cocktail party.

When it comes down to consumerism, it my personal opinion that purchasing products that go a step further are one of the small things that we can do for one another.
