UPDATE Double Sided Crystal Glass Nail File from GERmanikure Review

This is one of those highly unfortunate situations that simply make me both sad and angry. I love crystal nail files and was really looking forward to reviewing this one from GERmanikure. Sadly, what was supposed to be a beautiful blue crystal glass nail file arrived at my door in pieces!

I fully understand that things happen during the shipping process and in defense of this company; they do not do their own fulfillment. BUT, immediately after opening the package and realizing that the crystal glass nail file was broken I contacted the company. I am still waiting for a reply! The only issue that I am happy about is that fact that I quickly realized that I’d received a broken item and was fortunate not to have cut my hands!

The company states, “GERmanikure crystal glass file is handcrafted in the Czech Republic from thick Bohemian glass and specially formulated and tempered against breaking.” I guess this is a statement pertaining to normal wear and tear and I cannot fault the company for a poorly package (and probably mishandled) item. Another statement that had me totally stoked, “GERmanikure believes in long tool life, healthful living, and good environmental stewardship. Each glass file is made in the Czech Republic by trained adult artisans paid fairly. This item is guaranteed free from unethical workmanship such as child labor.”

As I always tell Pop Culture Shock readers, this is my own personal experience and your experience may be completely different. I will update everyone if the company contacts me. Until then you can check out the Double Sided Crystal Glass Nail File from GERmanikure on Amazon.

I was contacted by a super nice person from Germanikure who was very apologetic and sent me out a replacement right away! I couldn't be happier with the company, the customer service and most especially the product! I feel good about spending my money on items that not only work well, but also particpate in fair labor practices! I am definitely stocking up on these for family and friends, and if you want to do the same you can go directly to the Germanikure website
